Method to the madness?

I've recently been experimenting with this brush pen that I bought in San Francisco 2 years ago and i'd like to say that I'm afraid of it no longer :) The cost of the pen itself/along with the cost of the refills was like a negative to my negative and deterred me from using it.. but i've been recently inspired by the different line qualities and the interplay between positive/negative space-effects.
